(A)As used in this section:
(1)"Freestanding birthing center" has the same meaning as in section3701.503of the Revised Code.
(2)"Funeral services worker" means a person licensed as a funeral director or embalmer under Chapter 4717. of the Revised Code or an individual responsible for the direct final disposition of a deceased person.
(3)"Hospital" has the same meaning as in section3722.01of the Revised Code.
(B)At least annually, the state registrar shall offer to provide training for appropriate staff of hospitals and freestanding birthing centers, as well as funeral services workers, on their responsibilities under the laws of this state and any rules adopted pursuant to those laws pertaining to vital records.
