As used in sections3701.46to3701.50of the Revised Code, the standard tests for syphilis and gonorrhea are tests approved by the department of health, and shall be made at a laboratory approved to make such tests by the department. Such tests as are required shall, on request of the physician, certified nurse-midwife, clinical nurse specialist, or certified nurse practitioner submitting the specimens, be made without charge by the department.
