Text
Each science, technology, engineering, and mathematics school and its governing body shall comply with sections3313.603and3313.6027of the Revised Code as if it were a school district. However, a STEM school may permit a student to earn units of high school credit based on a demonstration of subject area competency instead of or in combination with completing hours of classroom instruction prior to the adoption by the department of education and workforce of the plan for granting high school credit based on competency, as required by division (J) of that section. Upon adoption of the plan, each STEM school shall comply with that plan and award units of high school credit in accordance with the plan.
