(A)As used in this section:
(1)"Designated official" means the superintendent, or the superintendent's designee, in the case of a school district or educational service center and the chief administrator, or the chief administrator's designee, in the case of a chartered nonpublic school.
(2)"Essential school services" means services provided by a private company under contract with a school district, educational service center, or chartered nonpublic school that the district or service center superintendent or the chief administrator of the chartered nonpublic school has determined are necessary for the operation of the district, service center, or chartered nonpublic school and that would need to be provided by employees of the district, service center, or chartered nonpub
