(A)As used in this section, "school records" includes any academic records, student assessment data, or other information for which there is a legitimate educational interest.
(B)Except as provided for in division (C) of this section, when any school district or chartered nonpublic school receives a request from another district or school to which a student has transferred for that student's school records, the district or school receiving the request shall respond, within five school days after receiving the request, by transmitting to the requesting district or school either the student's school records as authorized under section3319.321of the Revised Code or, if the district or school has no record of the student's attendance, a statement of that fact.
