Text
(A)All new educator licenses issued for grades pre-kindergarten through eight shall require the applicant to attain a passing score on a rigorous examination of principles of scientifically research-based reading instruction that is aligned with the reading competencies adopted by the department of education and workforce under section3301.077of the Revised Code.
(B)The state board shall adopt rules in accordance with Chapter 119. of the Revised Code prescribing criteria and procedures necessary to implement the requirements of this section.
