(A)(1) Each child enrolled in an internet- or computer-based community school is entitled to a computer supplied by the school; however, the parent of any child enrolled in the school may waive this entitlement in the manner specified in division (A)(3) of this section. In no case shall an internet- or computer-based community school provide a stipend or other substitute to an enrolled child or the child's parent in lieu of supplying a computer to the child. The prohibition contained in the preceding sentence is intended to clarify the meaning of this division as it existed prior to September 29, 2005, and is not intended to change that meaning in any way.
