(A)(1) As used in this section, "automated external defibrillator" means a specialized defibrillator that is approved for use as a medical device by the United States food and drug administration for performing automated external defibrillation, as defined in section2305.235of the Revised Code.
(2)This section does not apply to an internet- or computer-based community school.
(B)The governing authority of a community school established under this chapter shall require the placement of an automated external defibrillator in each school under the control of the governing authority.
