Notwithstanding the requirement for initial approval of sponsorship by the department of education and workforce prescribed in divisions (A)(2) and (B)(1) of section3314.015of the Revised Code and any geographical restriction or mission requirement prescribed in division (C)(1) of section3314.02of the Revised Code, an entity that has entered into a contract to sponsor a community school on April 8, 2003, may continue to sponsor the school in conformance with the terms of that contract and also may enter into new contracts to sponsor community schools after April 8, 2003, as long as the contracts conform to and the entity complies with all other provisions of this chapter.
