Text

(A)As used in this section, "state agency" means every organized body, office, or agency established by the laws or constitution of this state for the exercise of any function of state government.
(B)Whenever a school district board of education collects racial data for the students enrolled in the school district or whenever the department of education and workforce or any other state agency collects or requires the collection and reporting of racial data for students enrolled in any chartered public or nonpublic school, the data collection shall include a multiracial category. For the purpose of reporting student racial data required by the federal government, if the federal standards for reporting student racial data do not include a multiracial category, both of the following apply
