(A)Notwithstanding section3319.236of the Revised Code, a school district, community school established under Chapter 3314. of the Revised Code, or science, technology, engineering, and mathematics school established under Chapter 3326. of the Revised Code may permit an individual who holds a valid educator license in any of grades kindergarten through twelve to teach a computer science course if, in the last five years, the individual has completed a professional development program approved by the district superintendent or school principal that provides content knowledge specific to the course the individual will teach.
