S ubject to section3321.141of the Revised Code, the board of education of each school district shall adopt a written policy with respect to the notification of a student's parents, parent who is the residential parent and legal custodian, guardian, or legal custodian or any other person responsible for the student within a reasonable time after the determination that the student is absent from school.
