(A)The creation of the position of independent auditor for any school district to which section3311.60of the Revised Code applies on the effective date of this section shall be subject to an affirmative vote of the electors of the district. The question of whether to create the position of independent auditor for such a school district shall be submitted to the electors of the district at the general election occurring at least ninety days after the effective date of this section. The board of education of the school district shall notify the board of elections of each county containing territory of the school district of the election required by this section by such time that the question may be placed on the ballot at that election.
