A member participating in the STRS defined benefit plan who has elected disability coverage under this section, has not attained age sixty, and is determined by the state teachers retirement board under section3307.62of the Revised Code to qualify for a disability benefit shall be retired on disability under this section. Upon disability retirement, a member shall receive an annual amount that shall consist of:

(A)An annuity having a reserve equal to the amount of the member's accumulated contributions at that time;
(B)A pension that shall be the difference between the annuity and an annual amount determined by multiplying the number of years of Ohio service credit of such member, and in addition the number of years and fraction of a year between the effective date of the member's dis
