Text
(A)A person who meets all of the following criteria shall be permitted to take a high school equivalency test approved by the department of education and workforce pursuant to division (B) of section3301.80of the Revised Code:
(1)The person is at least eighteen years of age.
(2)The person is officially withdrawn from school.
(3)The person has not received a high school diploma or honors diploma awarded under section3313.61,3313.611,3313.612, or3325.08of the Revised Code.
(B)A person who is at least sixteen years of age but less than eighteen years of age may apply to the department to take an approved equivalency test, so long as the person meets all of the following criteria:
(1)The person has not received a high school diploma or honors diploma awarded under section3313.61,331
