Text

The department of education and workforce shall adopt reading competencies for all reading credentials and training. Such competencies shall include, but not be limited to, an understanding of phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, appropriate use of assessments, differentiated instruction, and selection of appropriate instructional materials and application of research-based instructional practices.
