Text

As used in this section, "English learner" has the same meaning as in 20 U.S.C. 7801. The director of education and workforce shall adopt rules regarding the identification, instruction, assessment, and reclassification of English learners. The rules shall conform to the department of education and workforce's plan, as approved by the United States secretary of education, to comply with the "Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965," 20 U.S.C. 6311 to 6339.
