A party to a child support order issued in accordance with section3119.30of the Revised Code shall notify any physician, clinical nurse specialist, certified nurse practitioner, hospital, or other provider of medical services that provides medical services to the child who is the subject of the child support order of the number of any health insurance or health care policy, contract, or plan that covers the child if the child is eligible for medicaid. The party shall include in the notice the name and address of the insurer. If the insurer fails to pay all or any part of a claim filed under this section and the services for which the claim is filed are covered by the medicaid program, the physician, clinical nurse specialist, certified nurse practitioner, hospital, or other medical services provider shall bill the remaining unpaid costs of the services to the medicaid program.
