In the absence of an agreement entered into under section2108.265of the Revised Code establishing protocols and procedures governing the relations between a coroner and a procurement organization, if the coroner intends to deny recovery of an organ for transplantation or therapy from a decedent whose body is under the jurisdiction of the coroner, the coroner or the coroner's designee, at the request of the procurement organization, shall attend the removal procedure for the organ before making a final determination not to allow the procurement organization to recover the organ.
