§ 23 — Assignments, exemptions
§ 23. Assignments, exemptions. Benefits payable under this article\nshall not be assigned, released or commuted, except as provided by this\nchapter, and shall be exempt from all claims of creditors and from levy,\nexecution and attachment or other remedy for recovery or collection of a\ndebt, which exemption may not be waived. Such benefits shall be paid\nonly to volunteer ambulance workers or their dependents except as\notherwise provided in this chapter.\n
