Section 2-A-208. Modification, Rescission and Waiver.\n  (1) An agreement modifying a lease contract needs no consideration to\nbe binding.\n  * (2) A signed lease agreement that excludes modification or\nrescission except by a signed writing may not be otherwise modified or\nrescinded, but, except as between merchants, such a requirement on a\nform supplied by a merchant must be separately signed by the other\nparty.\n  * NB Effective until June 3, 2026\n  * (2) A signed lease agreement that excludes modification or\nrescission except by a signed record may not be otherwise modified or\nrescinded, but, except as between merchants, such a requirement on a\nform supplied by a merchant must be separately signed by the other\nparty.\n  * NB Effective June 3, 2026\n  (3) Although an attempt at
