§ 93. Registration of motor vehicles. It is unlawful for any person or\ncorporation that is required to have operating authority from the\nFederal Motor Carrier Safety Administration or the department to\ntransport property or passengers by motor vehicle and to engage in such\ntransportation over the streets and highways of this state, whether it\nbe in intrastate, interstate or foreign commerce, unless each vehicle or\nvehicles utilized in such transportation are first registered with the\ndepartment and such vehicle or vehicles carry appropriate identification\nevidencing such registration in accordance with rules and regulations\npromulgated by the commissioner.\n
