* § 89-s. Retirement of members who serve as ambulance medical\ntechnicians, ambulance medical technician/supervisors, members who\nperform ambulance medical technician related services, police medics,\npolice medic supervisors and members who perform police medic related\nservices in the Nassau county police department.

a.Any member who\nserves as an ambulance medical technician, ambulance medical\ntechnician/supervisor or a member who performs ambulance medical\ntechnician related services, or a police medic, police medic supervisor\nor a member who performs police medic related services and is employed\nin the Nassau county police department shall be eligible to retire\npursuant to the provisions of this section. Such eligibility shall be an\nalternative to the eligibility provisions
