§ 4. Legislative printing.
1.The legislative printing shall be\nfurther divided into two sub-parts to be known as legislative printing\nfor the legislature and legislative printing for the executive.\n 2. Legislative printing for the legislature shall include, but not be\nlimited to or restricted to the printing, publication and binding of the\nfollowing:\n (a) bills of the legislature;\n (b) amended bills of the legislature;\n (c) journals;\n (d) session laws;\n (e) state of New York legislative digest; and\n (f) other legislative documents as may be ordered by the legislature\nthrough the commissioner.\n Prior to the advertisement for bids for any of the foregoing, the\ncommissioner shall give timely written notice to the temporary president\nof the senate and the speaker of t

Such joint\nrequirements may be developed in consultation with the commissioner and\nreliance upon his expert advice.\n 3. Legislative printing for the executive shall include, but not be\nlimited or restricted to the printing, publication and binding of the\nfollowing:\n (a) bills of appropriation in support of government submitted by the\ngovernor;\n (b) executive budget;\n (c) messages from the governor; and\n (d) other documents as may be included in the bid proposal.\n The commissioner shall prescribe the terms, conditions and\nspecifications to be contained in the bid specifications and any\ncontract let thereon for the legislative printing for the executive.\n 4. The contract for legislative printing may provide for the printing\nof additional copies of bills for sale to persons, firms, corporations\nor associations requesting the same. Such price shall not exceed the per\npage price fixed for additional copies ordered by the legislature by\nresolution for its own use.\n 5. In consultation with the missing and exploited children\nclearinghouse, the temporary president of the senate and speaker of the\nassembly shall prescribe procedures in which printing including\nstationery, newsletters and other written or electronic printings may be\nused to assist in the location of missing children in conformance with\nthe guidelines prescribed in section eight hundred thirty-seven-f of the\nexecutive law.\n
