§ 263. Quinquennial report.
1.The commissioner shall quinquennially\nreport to the governor and the legislature on or before January first,\ntwo thousand seven and on or before January first of each fifth year\nthereafter on the status of the state farmers' markets program, as\nprovided under this article. Such report shall include:\n (a) the number and nature of proposals made to the department for\nstate assistance;\n (b) the number, nature and geographic location of approved farmers'\nmarkets development or improvement projects, and the amounts of each\naward made thereto;\n (c) an assessment of the effectiveness of existing farmers' markets to\nfacilitate New York producers to direct market their farm and food\nproducts to retail and wholesale consumers; and\n (d) any recommenda
