§ 190.89 Immigrant assistance services fraud in the first degree.\n A person is guilty of immigrant assistance services fraud in the first\ndegree when, with intent to defraud another person seeking immigrant\nassistance services, as defined in article twenty-eight-C of the general\nbusiness law, from such person, he or she violates section four hundred\nsixty-d of the general business law with intent to obtain property from\nsuch other person by false or fraudulent pretenses, representations or\npromises, and thereby wrongfully obtains such property with a value in\nexcess of one thousand dollars.\n Immigrant assistance services fraud in the first degree is a class E\nfelony.\n
