Text
§ 4926. Medical debt reporting prohibited in contracts with collection\nentities. A hospital licensed under article twenty-eight of this\nchapter, a health care professional authorized under title eight of the\neducation law, or an ambulance service certified under article thirty of\nthis chapter:\n 1. shall not furnish any portion of a medical debt to a consumer\nreporting agency; and\n 2. shall include a provision in any contract entered into with a\ncollection entity for the purchase or collection of medical debt that\nprohibits the reporting of any portion of such medical debt to a\nconsumer reporting agency.\n
