§ 404. Hospitals; property; authority to acquire and to hold.
1.The\nboard of visitors of each state hospital in the department, as the agent\nof the department, is hereby authorized to take and hold, in the name of\nand for the people of the state, by grant, gift, devise or bequest,\nproperty to be applied, principal or income, or both, for the benefit of\nthe hospital, institution or of any patient or patients therein or to\nthe maintenance and the general uses of the hospital or institution.\n 2. No property shall be taken or held as provided by this section,\nexcept with the approval of the commissioner unless the rules of the\ncommissioner otherwise provide.
