§ 2502. Report of certain conditions. Any nurse-midwife, nurse or\nother person having the care of an infant within the age of two weeks\nwho neglects or omits to report immediately to the health officer or to\na legally qualified practitioner of medicine of the city, town or place\nwhere such child is being cared for, the fact that one or both eyes of\nsuch infant are inflammed or reddened whenever such shall be the case,\nor who applies any remedy therefor without the advice, or except by the\ndirection of such officer or physician is guilty of a misdemeanor.\n
