§ 40. Definitions. As used in this article\n 1. The term "work of art" shall apply to and include all paintings,\nmural decorations, stained glass, sculptures, bas-reliefs, fountains,\nmonuments, arches, gateways and other structures of a permanent nature\nintended for ornamentation or commemoration.\n 2. The term "building" shall apply to and include all monumental or\nother buildings for housing any of the state departments or commissions\nor intended as memorials, museums or places of public assemblage, and\nshall not apply to or include any buildings for institutional, hospital,\npenal or corrective purposes.\n
