§ 1893 — Administration by the authority

§ 1893. Administration by the authority. Within six months of the\neffective date of this title, the authority is hereby authorized and\ndirected to establish and administer the green jobs-green New York\nprogram. The authority shall implement the program in consultation with\nthe division of housing and community renewal, the department of labor,\nthe office of temporary and disability assistance, the department of\npublic service, the power authority of the state of New York, the Long\nIsland power authority, the department of economic development and the\ndepartment of environmental conservation. The authority is authorized\nand directed to:\n 1. use monies made available for the program pursuant to section\neighteen hundred ninety-nine-a of this title to achieve the purposes of\nthe program;\n 2. enter into contracts with constituency-based organizations and\nother entities through the competitive grants process authorized by this\ntitle;\n 3. enter into contracts with one or more program implementers to\nperform such functions as the authority deems appropriate; and\n 4. exercise such other powers as are necessary for the proper\nadministration of the program.\n
