§ 1877. Purposes of the high temperature technology research program.\nThe purpose of the program shall be to enhance industrial energy\nefficiency pertaining to high temperature operations. In developing the\nprogram, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute shall conduct, support and\nmonitor high temperature technology research which addresses one or more\nof the following technical subjects:\n 1. high temperature lubrication;\n 2. high temperature materials and structures;\n 3. high temperature energy transfer and conversion;\n 4. high temperature materials processing; and\n 5. use of expert systems in high temperature technology.\n
