* § 13.43 First responder training.\n (a) The commissioner, in consultation with the commissioner of health,\nthe office of fire prevention and control, the municipal police training\ncouncil, and the superintendent of state police, shall develop a\ntraining program and associated training materials, to provide\ninstruction and information to firefighters, police officers and\nemergency medical services personnel on appropriate recognition and\nresponse techniques for handling emergency situations involving\nindividuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental\ndisabilities. The training program and associated training materials\nshall include any other information deemed necessary and appropriate by\nthe commissioner.\n (b) Such training shall address appropriate response t
