§ 92. General powers conferred upon presiding justice and appellate\ndivision in first department. Except as otherwise provided in this\narticle, all the powers heretofore conferred by law upon the presiding\njustice of the general term of the supreme court in the first judicial\ndepartment, the chief judge of the court of common pleas for the city\nand county of New York, and the chief judge of the superior court of the\ncity of New York, either or all of them, are vested in the presiding\njustice of the appellate division of the supreme court in the first\ndepartment.
