§ 59. Conveying bribes prohibited. Every person who shall knowingly\nbear or convey any such gift, gratuity or proposal, or shall in any\nmanner negotiate between any other persons for any act in violation of\nthe provisions of the two preceding sections shall, upon conviction, be\npunished in like manner and to the same extent as the principal\noffender, respectively, would be liable to be punished under the\nprovisions of this article.\n
