§ 96. Woman defined. The term "woman" as used in this article shall\nnot include any female either actually or apparently under the age\nsixteen years, whose care is assumed by any incorporated society for the\nprevention of cruelty to children; but every such female upon being\ntaken to a station house shall be at once transferred therefrom by the\nofficer in charge to the custody of such society.\n
