§ 899-m. Criminal sanctions. 1. Except as provided in subdivision two\nof this section, an athlete agent who violates the provisions of section\neight hundred ninety-nine-l of this article shall be guilty of a class A\nmisdemeanor.\n 2. An athlete agent who violates:
(a)the provisions of section eight\nhundred ninety-nine-l of this article, while such athlete agent's\ncertificate of registration is suspended, after the secretary of state\nhas revoked or refused to renew such certificate of registration\npursuant to section eight hundred ninety-nine-f of this article, or\nafter the secretary of state has refused to issue a certificate of\nregistration pursuant to section eight hundred ninety-nine-e of this\narticle shall be guilty of a class E felony; or (b) paragraph (c) of\nsubdivisio
