§ 54-1103. Coastal rehabilitation projects.\n As used in this title, "coastal rehabilitation project" shall mean\nthose projects which serve a public purpose for beach nourishment\nnecessary to maintain the natural functions of beach areas, maintenance\nof the natural passage of sand along coastal areas, emergency breach\nclosures and similar activities undertaken by the state, a municipality,\nor a not-for-profit corporation which demonstrates to the commissioner's\nsatisfaction that it is financially and otherwise capable of operating\nand maintaining the project, for the restoration and rehabilitation of\ncoastal areas diminished, damaged or destroyed by natural forces.\n
