§ 19-0325. Sulfur reduction requirements.\n (1) On or after July first, two thousand twelve, all number two\nheating oil sold for use in residential, commercial, or industrial\nheating within the state shall not have a sulfur content greater than\nfifteen parts per million.\n (2) The governor may, by issuing an executive order, temporarily\nsuspend the applicability of this section at any time based on the\ngovernor's determination, after consulting with the New York energy\nresearch and development authority, that meeting the requirement of\nsubdivision one of this section is not feasible due to lack of adequate\nsupply of the required fuel.\n
