§ 15-1731. Eminent domain; transmission lines.\n Any corporation authorized to do business in this state and engaged in\nthe production, sale and distribution of heat, light or power to the\npublic may exercise the right of eminent domain pursuant to the\nprovisions of the eminent domain procedure law to acquire property\nnecessary for the construction of transmission lines for such heat,\nlight and power, when necessary for such sale and distribution to the\npublic. If the corporation is a licensee under title 17 of this article\nit may apply to, and in a proper case receive from, the Public Service\nCommission a certificate of convenience and necessity for any property\nso required in the manner and with like effect as provided in paragraph\nc of subdivision 4 of section 15-1729.
