§ 17-136. False returns; unlawful acts respecting returns. An\ninspector or clerk of an election who intentionally makes, or attempts\nto make, a false canvass of the ballots cast thereat, or any false\nstatement of the result of a canvass, though not signed by a majority of\nthe inspectors, or any person who induces or attempts to induce any such\ninspector or clerk to do so, is guilty of a felony.\n
