§ 678 — Regents health care professional opportunity scholarships

* § 678. Regents health care professional opportunity scholarships. 1.\nNumber and certification. One hundred regents health career professional\nopportunity scholarships shall be awarded each year. Such scholarships\nshall be allocated as provided in article thirteen of this chapter to\neligible students as certified to the president by the commissioner.\n 2. Duration. Such scholarship shall entitle the recipient to an award\nfor not more than four academic years while matriculated in an approved\nprogram, as defined by the commissioner pursuant to article thirteen of\nthis chapter.\n 3. Amount. The president shall make academic year awards in amounts\nprovided in this subdivision. The academic year award shall be ten\nthousand dollars per year, provided, however, that in no event shall the\naward exceed the actual costs of attendance. Costs of attendance shall\ninclude tuition, required fees, laboratory and other instruction related\nexpenses, books, transportation, room and board.\n * NB Scholarship terminated per ch 31/85 § 17, as amended\n
