§ 12. Attendance of witness and production of documents. The port\nauthority shall have the power to compel the attendance of witnesses and\nthe production of any papers, books or other documents, and to\nadminister oaths to all witnesses who may be called before it.\nSubpoenas issued by the port authority shall be signed by a commissioner\nor by the secretary of the port authority. No witness subpoenaed at the\ninstance of parties other than the port authority shall be entitled to\ncompensation therefrom for attendance or travel, but the cost thereof\nshall be borne by the party at whose instance the witness is summoned,\nunless the port authority otherwise orders. A subpoena issued under this\nsection shall be regulated by the civil practice law and rules.\n
