§ 90. Inspection of penal and reformatory institutions. All judges of\nthe court shall visit at least once, preferably within three months\nafter their appointment, the workhouse, penitentiary and all other\nreformatories and institutions to which they have power to commit, and\nshall make further visits to such institutions as may be required by\nrule or order of court, and shall report in writing to the appellate\ndivisions of the supreme court exercising supervisory and administrative\npower over the court their observations with such recommendations as\nthey may deem proper.\n
