§ 90. Record of operating expenses. The corporation shall keep an\naccurate account of all moneys appropriated by the legislature for the\nimprovement, maintenance, repair and operation of the canal system and\nshall cause to be prepared and filed in the office of the corporation on\nor about January first of each year, a statement showing all such moneys\nappropriated and how expended during the preceding fiscal year. The\ncorporation shall keep an accurate account of the recoveries made in all\nactions brought by it or at its direction, for the recovery of penalties\nor damages under authority of this chapter and of the cost and expenses\nthereof and pay into the canal fund the amount of all such recoveries\nand account for the same with the department of audit and control.\n
