§ 57.31. Cooperative records storage and management. All local\ngovernment records shall be kept in secure facilities maintained by the\nlocal government unless the consent of the commissioner of education is\nobtained to their transfer and storage elsewhere. Any local government\nmay cooperate with another local government or governments for the\nimproved management and preservation of records, and may enter into a\ncontractual arrangement for such purposes.\n
