  § 2982. Scope of title. Except where such an action is statutorily\nrequired to be brought only in the court of claims, this title shall be\napplicable to all wrongful death actions brought against a public\nauthority or public benefit corporation, notwithstanding any\ninconsistent provisions of law, general, special or local, or any\nlimitation contained in the provisions of any city charter.\n
