§ 2582. Trustees of corporate schools entitled to participate in funds\nof the board of education of the city of New York may convey to city of\nNew York and be merged. The trustees, managers and directors of any of\nthe corporate schools of the city of New York entitled to participate in\nthe apportionment of the funds of the board of education of such city\nmay, at any time, convey their school houses and sites to the city of\nNew York and transfer any of their schools to the board of education of\nsuch city on terms and in a manner to be agreed upon and prescribed by\nsuch board of education, so as either to merge such corporate schools in\nthe public schools or adopt them as public schools and the same shall\nthen be public schools.\n
