Text

1. The term of any consumer credit insurance must not extend beyond the date of termination specified in the policy. The date of termination of the insurance must not occur more than 15 days after the scheduled maturity date of the debt to which it relates unless:

(a)The date is extended at no additional cost to the debtor; or
(b)The date is extended pursuant to a written agreement signed by the debtor and relates to a variable rate credit transaction or a deferral, renewal, refinancing or consolidation of debt. 2. If a debt is discharged because of any renewal, refinancing or consolidation before the scheduled date of termination of the consumer credit insurance, the insurance must be cancelled before any new consumer credit insurance is written in relation to the renewed, refinanced or
