If the Division imposes an administrative fine or collects a fee for registering an asset management company or issuing or renewing a permit to an asset manager, the Division shall deposit the amount collected with the State Treasurer for credit to the State General Fund. The Division may present a claim to the State Board of Examiners for recommendation to the Interim Finance Committee if money is needed to pay an attorney’s fee or the cost of an investigation, or both.
